At AMERRA, Thomas is primarily responsible for funded deals and communication with clients regarding payment, reporting and covenant compliance. Thomas is also responsible for the allocation of cash payments and cash movements between funds and clients. Thomas works closely with the AMERRA investment, legal and accounting teams to ensure investments run smoothly and any potential concerns are raised and addressed.
Traveling to Brazil and Nicaragua to monitor on-the-ground operations of AMERRA clients have been highlights for Thomas while working at AMERRA. In Brazil, Thomas worked with the AMERRA Brazilian and legal teams to develop a comprehensive collateral monitoring program for a tobacco pre-export financing facility that has since been replicated in other deal structures. In Nicaragua, Thomas had the opportunity to work with the Seeds for Progress charity program to build schools that help support the Nicaraguan coffee community.
Prior to joining AMERRA full-time, Thomas attended Pennsylvania State University. Thomas holds a BS in Economics with a focus in Macroeconomics, Money, and Banking as well as two Minor degrees in Business and History. After interning with AMERRA in the summer of 2013 and 2014, he joined the AMERRA staff full-time in 2015. Thomas is currently pursuing his MBA degree at the University of Connecticut and is proficient in Spanish.
