Julia’s passion for agricultural markets in Brazil and creating partnerships with portfolio companies drives her investment focus. Julia supports AMERRA’s Brazilian portfolio with diligence, analysis and ongoing portfolio management focusing on the grain, cotton and tobacco sectors. In addition to underwriting new investments, Julia plays a critical role in asset recovery. She also works with the team providing ensuring governance and compliance for a complex Brazilian equity investment.
Julia returned to AMERRA after receiving her Master's degree evidencing her commitment to continued education. While at Columbia, Julia was elected class Chair of Communications and a Teaching Assistant for the Accounting Department. Prior to AMERRA, Julia was an investor relations analyst at SLC Agricola, a publicly traded Brazilian farm operator. She also interned at the Clinton Global Initiative and the Brazilian Central Bank.
She is a native Brazilian and holds a Masters of Finance from Columbia University and a BA in economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
