Through eight years at AMERRA, Charles’ roles have evolved as AMERRA has grown. Currently, as Operations Manager, he is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the operations team whose main priority is to track the activities of the firm’s investment portfolio. These activities include: invoicing clients, applying payments, preparing wires, monitoring collateral, and tracking financial covenants.

Charles works directly with the CAO to allocate investment opportunities across pools of capital in accordance with AMERRA’s allocation policy and each pool of capital’s risk guidelines. Additionally, he oversees cash needs of these pools of capital and recommends to the CAO, COO, and CFO when capital needs to be called or returned to limited partners.

Charles is also responsible for managing and developing AMERRA’s proprietary software system, AMERRATrac. During his tenure, Charles has led this project from the design and early development stages to a fully functional business-critical system that tracks all AMERRA’s current investments, collateral, covenants and risk exposure. The system has been developed to enforce compliance and workflow approval procedures and has enabled operational scaling of AMERRA’s business.

Prior to joining AMERRA, Charles was a Financial Analyst at Latin America Capital Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a degree in International Business from Edinburgh University in Scotland.
