At AMERRA, Charles primarily focuses on originating, evaluating, executing and monitoring investments. Charles has a broad professional background working in capital markets, investment banking, corporate development and private equity with significant transaction experience investing in businesses of varying industry, size, stage and scale.
He joined AMERRA with a variety of private equity experience, having worked on the investment teams of Graham Partners, AFI Partners, and Catterton Partners (now known as L Catterton). Prior to joining Charles had operating roles as interim Director of Strategy, Financial Planning & Analysis for an L Catterton portfolio company, and as Manager of Corporate Development for a large healthcare non-profit. He began his career working in investment banking within the Global Consumer and Global Equity Capital Markets divisions of Deutsche Bank and Citigroup, respectively.
Joining AMERRA from a consumer-focused background, Charles credits AMERRA as a pioneer in addressing the unmet need for investment in sustainable food chains to meet growing global demand and consumption. He also recognizes AMERRA’s strategic prioritization of ESG (environmental, social and governance) considerations within its portfolio as something that permeates the organization’s stewardship culture.
Charles received his MBA in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He also graduated cum laude from Boston College with a BS in Management with concentration in Finance and a minor in Physics.
Raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, Charles is an avid competitive sailor, having competed in various international offshore and one-design championship events.
