Carly plays a leadership role in the establishment and ongoing growth of the accounting, finance and operations infrastructure for the AMERRA funds and management company entities. She oversees financial reporting and is deeply engaged with external service providers and treasury/banking operations. In addition, she drives tax structuring for AMERRA’s investments, including legal and operational setup as well as regulatory reporting. She is passionate about the financial and operating environment and excels at implementing and improving financial and operating processes. Carly is instrumental in hiring, mentoring and training the accounting team members.
Carly has over 15 years of experience within the alternative investment management industry in managing, executing, and improving financial and operating processes and controls in accounting, reporting, audit, tax and valuation functional roles. She has an in-depth understanding of accounting and operational workflows and processes, U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation and analysis, complex management and carried interest waterfall calculations, project management and software implementations for private equity funds, hedge funds and advisers.
Prior to joining AMERRA, Carly spent 7 years as a Director at Constellation Advisers, a boutique investment management consultancy, where she was instrumental in building out the outsourced CFO services business line during the start-up stage of the company. She advised clients due diligence, accounting and infrastructure needs and provided outsourced CFO services for a variety of investment managers with an array of investment products and fund structures.
Carly began her career as an auditor in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche working with private equity funds, hedge funds, fund-of-funds and management companies. Carly received her B.S. in Accounting with honors from the University of Delaware with minors in Management Information Systems and Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
